Falisha Gilman, MD is a board certified adult psychiatrist. Dr. Gilman earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomolecular Science from Clarkson University and her medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine.
She completed her general psychiatry residency at Yale School of Medicine where she served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining Advanced Psychiatric Associates, Dr. Gilman was an attending psychiatrist at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where she worked with individuals with severe mental illness and was a preceptor for medical and nurse practitioner students.
Dr. Gilman has expertise in psychopharmacology, refractory psychiatric illness, mood disorders and women’s mental health. She provides psychiatric evaluations, medical management, and psychotherapy services. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gilman is passionate about medical education and advocacy. She has presented at state and national conferences on topics including mental health parity, physician wellness, and immigration and mental health. She is a clinical instructor at Yale School of Medicine where she teaches psychiatry residents how to engage in legislative advocacy.
