Ashley S. Sanchez Ramos, MD

Ashley S. Sanchez Ramos, MD is a double board-certified General Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, crisis, and emergency psychiatric settings. Dr. Sanchez Ramos completed her medical degree at Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, followed by a General Psychiatry Residency and a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.

Dr. Sanchez Ramos has served in a variety of clinical roles, including Staff Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Per Diem Psychiatrist at The Village for Children & Families in Hartford, CT, as well as per diem psychiatry roles at Natchaug Hospital and the Institute of Living. In these positions, she has provided comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care to children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of psychiatric conditions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sanchez Ramos has presented on topics including personality disorders, pediatric bipolar disorder, and quality & safety initiatives in psychiatry. She has also held leadership roles such as Wellness Champion and CAP Fellowship Representative, demonstrating her commitment to professional development, trainee support, and institutional excellence.

Dr. Sanchez Ramos is fluent in English and Spanish, with strong cross-cultural competencies and a passion for promoting mental health equity.
