Katherine Niedt, MD, MHA

Katherine Niedt, MD, MHA earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Dartmouth College. She then completed a postbaccalaureate pre-medical program at The Pennsylvania State University, and obtained her medical degree from St. George’s University where she graduated magna cum laude. She also has a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Cornell University.

She completed both her general adult psychiatry residency training and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Stony Brook University Hospital. There she served as Chief Fellow and was a member of the resident patient safety committee. She also helped run a supportive psychotherapy group for transgender and gender non-conforming youth. Her training included treating patients of all ages in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, in addition to school-based psychiatric evaluations and assessments.

Dr. Niedt evaluates and treats child, adolescent, and young adult patients. She is dedicated to providing her patients with high quality, evidence-based care in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
